5 Advantages of Drinking water in the morning

Healthy tip of the day.

Have you had your water this morning?!

I try and drink 2 full cups of water before I start my day. When I do this consistently I notice a change in my skin. Brighter, healthier younger looking skin and I notice this right away.

Try having 2 cups of water to re hydrate first thing in the morning... then have breakfast. Let me know if you notice any changes this week

Grilled Herbed Chicken w/ Roasted Lemon Potatoes

This recipe I developed from The Bikini Model Cookbook while prepping for my very first fitness show. Here’s a little science lesson for you: I usually eat regular potatoes after my workouts when my glycogen stores are low. This is a great recipe to refuel your muscles after a heavy lifting session. If you aren’t into regular potatoes, sweet potatoes would also work great. I keep my fats low after a workout because I believe it increases the rate at which the protein is driven back into my muscles. Fats slow down the absorption of protein…so i keep fats out of my diet after my workouts and keep them in my diet before bed so that the protein is slowly absorbed while I’m sleeping. Make sense? ;)  Round out this meal with steamed asparagus or broccoli or a side salad and you got it made!

Giant Turkey Meatballs

Meatballs make a great snack food. You can throw together a HUGE batch and eat them for the week. They are easily portable and go well with fresh veggie sticks. If made with the right ingredients…they are
little bundles of amazing flavor that will get you lean fast. I recommend ultra lean ground turkey, beef or bison for meatballs. Any thing goes and you can spice these
